The Chromag Shift Knee Pad delivers certified Level 2 protection in a low-profile design built for real trail riding. Comfortable enough for long climbs and secure enough for technical descents, it’s protection you can leave on all day.

A next-generation RHEON™ insert remains flexible as you move, then stiffens instantly on impact. Shaped to contour naturally around the knee, it increases coverage while maximizing airflow to reduce heat and weight. The result is a pad that feels light and free-moving without sacrificing protection.

The performance sleeve uses durable, stretch fabric for a close, breathable fit, supported by a contoured internal bracing layer that helps keep the pad in position. Up top, a wide silicone-impregnated cuff with segmented vertical grip lines replaces traditional solid silicone bands. By spreading traction over a larger area, it holds securely without constricting, improves moisture movement, and allows the pad to stretch naturally with the leg.

Designed for long rides, variable terrain, and riders who value comfort as much as protection, the Shift balances mobility, security, and impact performance with intent.

Shift FAQ's

Yup. Both the RHEON insert and garment itself are fine to throw in the washing machine.

Best to machine wash cold, and avoid the dryer completely.

Due to the nature of the materials, they dry pretty quickly when hung to dry.

The Shift has been rigorously tested to not only pass, but exceed CE certifications, not to mention additional testing by RHEON labs.

Shift Knee exceeds EN 1621-1:2012 Level 2 impact certification.

Shift Elbow exceeds EN 1621-1:2012 Level 1 impact certification.

Yes actually! We've found folding over the stretchy top band, so that the grip strips face out really helps getting the pads off. It even prolongs the life of the pads, as you don't have to wrestle with them to get them off.

The Shift passes level 2, while the Rift passes level 1 CE certification.

The Shift is taller with a wider grip band and improved silicone design.

The Shift uses a next gen RHEON insert which provides more protection, larger area and mroe breathability.

We have also re-designed materials and fit of the Shift, to improve comfort and ensure the pad stays in place while pedaling.
